Christian T-shirts for those who want to change the world... or at least one life.

What would you do if you saw Jesus starving?

Those were the gripping words I read in "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. I couldn't read another word. I was guilty as charged.

I had seen plenty of people hungry. I knew that 15,000 kids die everyday because a lack of food (24,000 die because a lack of basic necessities like medical, clean water, food, proper clothing...etc)  But I had never seen them as being Jesus. I had never taken Matthew 25:34-46 literally when Jesus said:

34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

The point of this verse is not to condemn us, but to open our eyes. Jesus wants us to show love by taking care of the "least of these".

The thought of 15,000 children dying today because a lack of food is gut-wrenching. How can something like this possibly happen, and in 2010? I'm not sure how it started, but I know how we (the body of Christ) can end it.

It starts with YOU making a simple change. At the Moju Project we call it "changing the world by changing the way we shop".

Have you ever thought about who benefits (besides you) from the clothes you wear? Why not orphans? For every Moju Project shirt you purchase, you're feeding an orphan for one month.

It's quite possibly the easiest way to live out James 1:27: True religion is taking care of the orphans and widows in their distress.

Not Christian shirts, but shirts that Christians wear

As Christians, we have the responsibility to care for the poor, the oppressed, the beaten and bruised, the fatherless, the spouse-less, the hurting and the dying. At the Moju Project, we're all about making it easy to make a difference. That's one of the biggest reasons we started this website. We wanted to make a difference, we wanted to change the world, save some lives...sure, that sounds good. But how??? Where do we start?

"If you can't feed 100, just feed 1".

-Mother Theresa
